In a groundbreaking effort to empower youth and enhance agricultural productivity, the Jigawa State Government, under the visionary leadership of His Excellency Malam Umar Namadi, has sponsored 30 youths for an intensive 3-month Tractor Master Technician Training program in China. This initiative is a key part of the administration's 12-Point Agenda, focusing on youth empowerment, economic development, and agricultural transformation.
The beneficiaries, selected from 30 constituencies across the 27 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Jigawa State, represent the state's diverse communities. The initiative, executed through a partnership between the Jigawa State Economic Empowerment and Youth Employment Agency (JISYEEA) and the Ministry of Agriculture, aims to develop a skilled workforce capable of driving the state's agricultural mechanization efforts.
Speaking about the program, His Excellency Malam Umar A. Namadi FCA highlighted its significance:
“This initiative is a cornerstone of our commitment to sustainable development. By equipping our youth with specialized skills, we are investing in their future and the future of Jigawa’s agricultural economy. Modern agriculture requires modern solutions, and these trainees will lead that charge.”
The training, conducted by a leading Chinese agricultural training institute, will provide participants with comprehensive skills in tractor diagnostics, maintenance, and operations.
