Youth Tricycle Empowerment Programme

Background

Jigawa state government has to distribute 91 Tricycle Machines to the youth in the state, prioritizing local governments with higher institutions eg. Dutse, Hadejia, Kazaure, Gumel, Ringim, Babura, Birnin Kudu, Kafin Hausa and Jahun. This Empowerment Programme is an innovative initiative by the Jigawa State Government which is geared towards empowering Youth to become self-reliant. This initiative aims to create Job opportunities to our teaming unemployed youth in the state.

Terms and Conditions

The following criteria must be fulfilled/met for any candidate to be considered.

 

1. That the price of the tricycle is ₦250,000
2. An initial deposit of ₦70,000 must be paid,
3. The remaining ₦180,000 will be paid within 12 months (₦500 daily), which is ₦15,000 monthly,
4. That charge per ride is ₦50 or below,
5. Beneficiary must obtain a driver's license to qualify,
6. Each beneficiary must provide a grantor, and
7. Any beneficiary found to have sold the tricycle outside the state must pay a market value of N1,000,000 (One Million Naira).

 

Method of Application:

Interested and eligible candidates are required to submit their applications through the Jigawa Empowerment and Employment Agency (JEEA) website at https://www.yeea.jg.gov.ng within 5 days from the date of this publication.
